A wedding dress is such an important part of the wedding day. It’s the special something that you wear when you marry your special person. Any wedding garment should reflect you and this big moment in your life. One of the things we love most about a trending wedding dress is it can truly represent what your love was like in the year you were married. And this year, we are so excited that every designer has focused on making wedding dresses be beautifully expressive!

Here are the trends we are most excited about for 2023 and 2024 weddings:

Statement Bridal Sleeves

Bishop and lantern sleeves have been on the rise since 2022, but they were prevalent in all new ways for this year. They aren’t just more comfortable and breathable than a fitted sleeve; a statement sleeve is truly expressive of you and your style! These sleeves can be simple lanterns or have a layered poof look to add something unique to your gown.

Ruffles, Texture and 3-D Elements

This year is all about being bold and uniquely you. Bridal gowns this year are statement pieces designed to make someone stand out and wow the crowd. Adding a flirty ruffle, elevating the look with sparkle layer, or standing out with 3-D elements and texture are great ways to have your personality shine along with your dress.

It’s time to show up and show off in this year’s statement trend: slits. From fitted to full silhouettes, gowns with slits have been everywhere, and we’re here for it! They elevate your wedding dress look and add a sexy twist without being too over the top. Plus, we spend so much time completing all the details of our wedding down to the shoes we wear; a slit is a great way to ensure those shoes get to stand out.

Exposed Boning and Corsetry

Another elevated way to show off how sexy and gorgeous you are is through corset bodices. We are obsessed with the corseted bodice trend. It leaves the bride with a sexy yet supported bodice, so you feel secured in your wedding gown, but without making you feel uncomfortable.

Minimalist with a Twist

For our brides who would prefer to keep it simple, this year’s clean wedding dress trend is for you. Designers have started adding unique structural details, fun pleating and unique necklines to take a simple dress to a new level. Elements like these make gowns feel elegant and special, without making the look “all about the dress.”

Pearly Wedding Accessories

Sparkle, glam and texture may have been big themes, but pearls are making a big comeback, too. Adding pearls to any wedding look is the best way to add a timeless element to your wedding day. We are huge pearl fans and it’s easy to see why – pearls are beautifully bridal. Bridal accessories were decked in pearls. This year we saw veils embellished with elegant, scattered pearl designs, bows and necklines subtly trimmed with pearly details, and crystals replaced with pearls in headpieces and jewelry.

Finishing Touches

It’s not just about the dress itself, but about what we do with the dress that makes the look yours and kicks it up a notch. Whether it’s adding a bow to tie up the look, sliding on detailed gloves, or adding some much-needed drama with an overskirt, designers have though of inventive ways for you to put the icing on the cake. Simple finishing touches are a great way to add your personal style. By keeping the pieces detachable, you can take the finishing element off to transform your look from ceremony to reception in an affordable way.
