I would like, if I may, to take you on a sweet journey.
Jessica and Amy started their love story on the stage. Well. Kind of. While they met the way most couples meet now, on an app, they technically met long ago as kids.
“We had done a few shows in community theater together. Jess was also kind of aware that I already existed. She had seen me perform Rocky Horror with my shadow cast before,” Amy said.

It wasn’t long before these two went from the stage to the aisle, each saving special moments to celebrate their love with the perfect proposal in special ways.
Amy saved the moment for a sweet date night with Jess. “I took her to a gazebo in a little park and asked. It was very special and intimate.”
Jess chose Pride to surprise Amy with the perfect surprise because…well…Dammit, Amy. Jess loves you.
“I asked Amy at one of our Rocky Horror performances,” Jess said. “While they were warming up the crowd, a song that was special to us started playing. I came down the theater aisle serenading them.”

Wedding planning together really makes it go smoothly, especially when the things you like the most about planning a wedding balance each other out. Amy and Jessica not only balance each other, but so do the things they loved the most about wedding planning.
“[I liked] getting to flex my creative skills to make our wedding totally unique to us,” Jessica said.
While Amy’s favorite part was on the other side with keeping things together.
“I enjoyed making spreadsheets and lists. It’s so fun to have everything neat and organized.” Amy said.
When Amy and Jessica first came to Laura and Leigh, it was for modeling for a styled shoot. Throughout the entire styled shoot they starred in, it was so clear that they both had such fun style and were so very much in love. So the entire store was thrilled when it was finally their time to find their gowns.
“I wanted something glamorous and princess-like, but ultimately something comfortable; which seems like an oxymoron,” Amy said. “That’s why I wanted a ballgown. It would have that level of grandeur I wanted, but wouldn’t be tight or hard to sit in. I felt very particular about the type of dress I wanted so I knew I would have to go into shopping with a solid game plan.”

Amy found the perfect gown that balanced that regal look with comfort. They said yes to a glamorous ball gown by Stella York with swirling, glittering details. While Jess was looking for something that felt somewhat opposite.
“I didn’t have anything too particular in mind. I just knew I wanted it to be comfortable and not a ballgown,” Jess said. “As I was trying on dresses, the dress was hanging behind me and I kept looking at it in the mirror and I couldn’t stop looking at it. I knew it was the one.”

Jess said yes to a flowy full A-line wedding dress by the same designer, Stella York, and chose to put her own twist on it by altering it to be a high-low hemline and added custom flutter sleeves.
“I wanted my dress to be unique to me and I also wanted something easy to walk in,” Jess said.
While the team here was looking forward to what Jess and Amy would choose for their gowns, the couple was looking forward to celebrating their day with their friends and family and dancing the night away.

“I enjoyed dancing. I got to twirl around the floor just like I wanted to,” Amy said.
From the delicious cake that was a highlight of the day to the adorable ring bearer and flower girl who took their roles seriously in the sweetest way, the day was the perfect celebration they had been dreaming of and truly deserved.
